Regional training centres remain open

Further to my blog yesterday, some questions have been raised about what this may mean for the ongoing operations at our six Regional Training Centres.

Again, I want to emphasise our environmental experts have advised these facilities, including Penshurst, do not pose health risks, and we will be continuing to train at and operate these sites.

Yesterday’s announcement has received some media coverage. I wanted to highlight Wannon Water’s media release, outlining it is “extremely confident that the treated water supply in Penshurst remains safe to drink”.

We will continue to be open about the work being undertaken to address various actions identified as a result of the environmental testing at each of our training facilities.

We regularly undertake water testing at our sites, and these results are available here.

Members are reminded that if you wish to seek health advice, our Fiskville Hotline - 1800 628 616 - is available to everyone, including CFA members and their families.

I will continue to provide updates on progress being made in relation to these matters.
