Save the date: State Forum

The CFA-SES Community Safety and Hazard Awareness State Forum will be heading down the Surf Coast this year, with Mantra Lorne hosting the forum on the weekend of 6-7 August.

Now in its sixth year, the State Forum is Victoria’s premier community safety conference for emergency services personnel. The forum is a highlight for people who play a vital role in engaging their communities in prevention and preparedness activities and education.

Each year, the State Forum brings together hundreds of like-minded people from across Victoria and provides opportunities for members to expand their networks, to build on their community engagement knowledge and to share their local community safety initiatives and projects.

Across the two-day conference, members will hear from both front line community safety educators as well as leading community engagement specialists and behaviour change experts. It will deliver some of the tools, ideas and skills needed to work in local communities to reduce the incidence and impact of fire, flood and storm.

This year will again see CFA team up with VICSES to bring together members from both agencies to focus on how we are ‘Working together for safer communities’

All CFA members are welcome to come along to the State Forum*1 and there is no charge to attend – all conference costs, meals and overnight accommodation will be covered. Spaces are strictly limited and you will need to register your interest in attending here.*2

The State Forum is led by the Member Engagement Volunteer Reference Group and this year is being generously supported by IGA’s Community Chest Program.
