Firefighters have extinguished a fire which broke out in a house within the Mount Bolton fire ground overnight.
A crew of power company workers saw smoke coming from the roof of the Addington-Creswick Road home at 9pm Wednesday.
CFA and DELWP firefighters made forced entry to the house as its occupants weren’t home at the time.
The fire was contained to the kitchen area and roof space.
Crews were able to bring it under control within 20 minutes.
The blaze is considered separate to the Mount Bolton fire and is not being treated as suspicious.
A fire investigator is on scene this morning.
