Shane to the rescue

You’d think Shane Scoble was just a mild-mannered Group Officer from Strathloddon Group, but he’s a whole lot more. He’s a bona fide hero!

In August, while on his lunch break, a woman in distress and needing assistance ran to Shane and his two work colleagues as her son had collapsed. The trio immediately sprang into action finding the man unconscious and non-breathing. Shane called Triple Zero and the team took turns performing CPR.

Ambulance Victoria members were so impressed with the actions of Shane and his co-workers that they were nominated for a Community Hero Award.

Last week Shane went to Parliament House where he and his colleagues received their awards. It was great to see Shane’s actions getting the praise they deserved.  Congratulations and well done.
