Shine a Light on Road Safety today

Shine a Light on Road Safety – turn on your CFA truck/car headlights this Friday 1 May to show support for road safety.

Shine a Light on Road Safety is a campaign to raise awareness and raise funds to support those impacted by road trauma, an initiative from Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV).

RTSSV has chosen turning headlights on as the symbol of the campaign because it is a simple, free and highly visible gesture that people can do to show how much road safety matters to them.

“Shining a light on road safety is crucial to helping reduce road trauma and the devastating impact it has on the whole community,” said Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Robert Hill.

CFA members are also invited to attend the Shine a Light on Road Safety Walk with Us – a community walk a Jells Park, Wheelers Hill on Sunday 3 May at 11am. This event will be led by Robert Hill and there will be a BBQ and entertainment after the walk. Entry is $15 for an individual or $20 for a family. Register now
