Last Friday 17 October, Ferntree Gully brigade in conjunction with the local library, ran its second Library Fun Storytime.
What a great morning! There were around 180 kids, parents and grandparents at Ferntree Gully Fire Station for storytime, crafts and the opportunity to squirt a bit of water.
The children and adults also heard three very short safety messages:never leave cooking unattended on the stove; if you feel sleepy, turn off the cooking; only working smoke alarms save lives.
Thanks to library staff Sue and Trudi, and Ferntree Gully firefighters Tim Martin and Byron Rutgers for making this a fun and educatative mornng.
