CFA has been presented with a generous donation from Oscar Oscar Salons for $78,093.00 that will go towards projects to assist brigades in purchasing, maintaining and meeting the costs associated with brigade firefighting equipment, facilities and functions.

Nathan Armagnacq, owner of the Oscar Oscar Salon in Chadstone, presented the donation today (Wed 21 April) on behalf of the group to CFA Chief Officer Jason Heffernan.

Oscar Oscar Salons raised a total of $156,186 which was divided between Queensland Rural Fire Service and CFA.

At the beginning of 2020, Oscar Oscar Salons’ founder and Director Oscar Cullinan was on his way back home to Queensland after visiting his family and friends in Ireland when he witnessed via international news the devastation the bushfires were having on his beloved Australian soil.

As a rural property owner himself with land and a farm in Northern NSW, Cullinan was heartbroken to see the devastation and destruction the catastrophic fires were unleashing.

With 14 salons across Queensland and Victoria, Cullinan enlisted the support and help of his partners and teams to rally behind the mission of finding a way to raise money and awareness to assist the brave women and men fighting the fires and help contribute toward the resources they needed to help come to the aid of affected Australians.

Kicking off by digging deep into his own pockets and donating an initial $20,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service within days of landing home, Cullinan then turned his attention to the ongoing support that Oscar Oscar Salons could provide.

It was during this time that every Oscar Oscar stylist and technician of all levels pledged to donate $2 from every in-salon guest transaction for the entire year.

Oscar Cullinan sincerely thanks every team member and guest who helped make the mission into a reality.
