Successful Open Day at Rowsley Fire Brigade

Recently Rowsley Fire Brigade threw open its doors to the community for a joint 2015 Open Day and Community Fire Ready Meeting.

The brigade, with an ageing membership, was concerned that the community interest in fire prevention/preparedness could be increased. Brigade members embarked on an extensive advertising venture with placards strategically placed throughout the main thoroughfare in and out of the valley. This resulted in two families attending on the day to learn more about the safety messages.

The brigade is also pleased that other community members have now begun to show interest in joining the brigade.
All in all, the day was very successful.

The brigade is now keen to keep up the fire safety messages to the community throughout this year’s Fire Danger Period.

Well done Rowsley Fire Brigade members. Keep up the good work.
