Tallarook brigade's Easter art fundraiser

In collaboration with local artists, Tallarook Fire Brigade, south of Seymour, is hosting an Easter art show from Thursday 2 April.

Over the long weekend the show is open from 10am to 4pm, and closes at midday on Monday 6 April.

Tallarook brigade members are working hard to prepare for the exhibition, putting in new lighting and extending the venue with undercover marquees.

The exhibition features new works from the region’s best artists, with proceeds from sales going to the brigade.

There will be live music at the opening on Thursday evening when a trio of flute, clarinet and oboe, called ‘Winded’, will play mostly classical music. Also, the brigade and the artists with works for sale are privileged to have Australian painter Ivan Durrant speak on Thursday.

There will be a silent auction of a painting, and raffles for a piece of hand-painted porcelain and an original Aboriginal artwork.

Entry is by gold coin donation.
