A single-storey house on McKillop Road, Mt Evelyn, was fully alight when crews first arrived at 3.25pm today (Tuesday 10 June).
Ten vehicles were involved in the firefight – from Bayswater, Mt Evelyn, Lilydale, Maroondah, Montrose, Scoresby, Seville, Silvan, Wandin and Yellingbo – and accessing water was an issue.
The fire was brought under control at 3.35pm and no one was inside at the time of the fire.
CFA fire investigators will attend.
