The Premier of South Australia Jay Weatherill has written to Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews to express his thanks and praise of CFA firefighters for their recent efforts in South Australia.
MESSAGE FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PREMIER
I wish to express my deep appreciation for your State’s contribution to fighting the South Australian Bushfires that began on 2 January 2015.
The involvement of the Victorian Country Fire Authority volunteers, firefighting strike teams, fire trucks and air tankers at the Sampson’s Flat fire has been invaluable.
The swift and immediate reaction of your officers in response to our urgent needs is a credit to your State ad highlights the best aspects of how our Federation operates.
I have nothing but praise for the dedication, bravery and compassion of these men and women.
