The Red Cross Blood Service has released the official State and National Results. CFA has taken out all the 2016 Victorian awards.
Firstly, on behalf of Chief Officer Warrington and myself can I thank all of the CFA donors for this fantastic effort, and without the regional coordinators' assistance we could not have achieved this magnicifant result.
CFA registered 744 donations for the challenge consisting of:
- 307 whole blood
- 413 plasma
- 24 platelets
The top 5 donor centres were:
- Bendigo = 85
- Ringwood = 67
- Geelong = 59
- Ballarat = 53
- Airport West = 35
- We also have a supporter in Darwin = 1
Where we stand on the national stage:
- NSW Police = 778
- CFA = 744
- VicPol = 723
- SA Police = 577
Once again, a very special thanks to all the CFA donors. Please keep up the good work and I encourage any existing donor to register with RED25-CFA to make their donation count not only for the three months of the Challenge but throughout the year.
To all the existing donors and new donors, continue to r ll up y ur sleeves nd d n te (what's missing is the supply of O and A blood groups!)
To VicPol, there is always next year!
