The community turned out in droves for Sunbury Brigade’s Open Day on Sunday 30 September with more than 1,500 people enjoying a BBQ, firefighting demonstrations, children’s activities and crafts.

The open day provided the opportunity for the brigade to share important fire safety information in the lead up to the summer fire danger period as well as show their local community what CFA does and discuss topics including recruitment, fundraising and Junior programs.
CFA brigades across the state open their doors between September and December each year as part of CFA’s Open Day program. Find out when your local brigade is opening their doors.
The open days are a great way for the public and CFA to recognise and highlight the great work being done by members, as well as help people understand how they can protect themselves, their family, and property from fire.
CFA brigades holding open days this year can register their event online to ensure they are included in the state-wide Open Day calendar. Register online.
