International Women's Day training at VEMTC Penshurst
Penshurst training facility recently hosted a range of activities and attendees.
The International Women’s Day (IWD) training evening kicked off the month at the Penshurst training facility, when 15 women including CFA CEO Natalie McDonald sharpened their skills and developed new skills to take back to their brigades.
Even though the weather gave us some challenges, the feedback was very positive.
The next evening Penshurst hosted the March Volunteer Forum where Chief Officer Jason Heffernan and Natalie McDonald headed the panel along with various volunteers from the district. This was a fantastic evening offering volunteers the opportunity to speak to both the Chief Officer and CEO openly about any issues or good news stories that they had to share.
The PAD area has been very busy with various hot fire training including industries from Ballarat and Geelong, D5 and D4 and D5 members doing Low Structure skills acquisition courses.
In addition, the Dunkeld VICSES unit sharpened up on some industrial rescue techniques.
