Video showcases relocation into new fire station

Brigades moving into newly-constructed fire stations can now have valuable insight into this complex process, via a video featuring Wodonga Fire Station’s move.

Wodonga Fire Brigade moved into their new facility in January, 2019.

In the six-minute film, OIC Ashley Mills discusses the process of packing and preparing the new station to become fully operational, which requires strong collaboration between staff and volunteers.

Mr Mills outlines what’s involved in packing up everything the brigade wishes to transport to the new station, which in Wodonga’s case included office material, historical memorabilia, operational equipment and personal items.

The six-minute film was produced by former-Wodonga local Daniel Enright at Motion Of Video, and was arranged by the Growth Program’s 350 Firefighter Program (P350).

The film will be used during P350 Transition Workshops with OICs who are moving brigades into new stations. It will also be placed on the Growth Programs Online Toolkit (accessed via member log-in) alongside other useful resources to assist operational leaders in implementing P350 changes for brigades.
