Viva Victoria Multicultural Festival 22 March 2015

Thousands of people are again expected to gather at Federation Square on Sunday 22 March for the spectacular Viva Victoria Multicultural Festival. With music and dance across four stages, food, workshops, film, arts, crafts a kids zone with free activities and face painting, and much more this free public event is the ultimate celebration of Victoria’s vibrant cultural diversity.

The festival forms part of Cultural Diversity Week (14-22 March), of which CFA is once again proud to support.

Like last year, CFA will take part in the Viva festival by having a joint display with MFB that will have information on home fire and grassfire safety and what to do in the event of a grassfire. Brigade members from Truganina, Noble Park and Keysborough will also be on hand to offer information on joining CFA and share their stories.

April and CK will also be there in the afternoon to perform live on stage and to entertain kids.

So if you around come down and visit us at Federation Square between 12pm - 6pm. It’s sure to be a great day and a great way to celebrate diversity and build relationships with our multicultural communities.

CFA districts will also be taking part in other activities around the state including Ballarat’s Harmony Fest on Sunday 22 March. CFA District 15 will have a display and various activities to engage the multicultural community.

CFA D17 members will also take part in a full day Koori Cultural Awareness program on Saturday 21 March.

Keep an eye out for what is happening in your local community this week as CFA is keen to support Cultural Diversity Week.
