Wearing CFA Uniform

Recently we have seen a number of public events where CFA members have been involved in promoting public policy or political positions. On several of these occasions, members have worn CFA Uniform including Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) to identify themselves as Firefighters and their affiliation with CFA.

CFA members engaging in these activities (i.e. political rallies, door knocking in electorates) are not to wear any CFA uniform or PPC items, including Brigade uniform items such as t-shirts, or portray that they are CFA members. These activities are not authorised by CFA and therefore any member choosing to participate must not be identifiable as a CFA member.

I ask that all members continue to respect the uniform that they wear, wear it only for the purposes intended, and abide by the above directive.
