Wodonga West Brigade moves into new station

The rain cleared and the sun was shining when Wodonga West Fire Brigade moved its operations from its old station to a new station on Moorefield Park Drive in  Wodonga West on Saturday 10 September.

The brigade members, with the assistance of family, friends, neighbouring brigades and the community, walked the appliances from the old station to new and were cheered into the new station by more family, friends, neighbouring brigades and the community.

The brigade was officially welcomed with a welcome by Captain Ross Coyle. Acting Operations Manager Adrian Gutsche presented long-serving member Les Boyes his 65-year CFA medal and George Coyle his 70-year CFA medal.

The Coyle family has a long history with CFA and Wodonga West brigade with four generations of Coyles current members.

The afternoon was celebrated with a CFA Open Day to show off our new station.

The new station is also the new home of the Wodonga Group.
