Woman trapped in car at Aireys Inlet

Update @ 12.15pm - CFA and SES have removed the woman from the car safely and she is in the hands of paramedics.

Firefighters are working to rescue a woman from her car which has tipped onto its side following an accident in Aireys Inlet this morning.

CFA was called to the incident on Bambra Road just after 10.30am.

Firefighters arrived to find the car on its side about 10 metres off the road.

As the vehicle is unstable, crews are working with SES to stabilise the car before removing the young woman.

Ambulance Victoria is also on scene assisting the patient who is conscious.

Six CFA trucks from Geelong, Anglesea and Aireys Inlet are on scene.
