2016 Bendigo Easter Torchlight

As part of the annual Bendigo Easter Festival, brigades from in and around the Bendigo area took part in a torchlight on Saturday night (26 March).

Resplendent in their pressed uniforms, some with shiny brass helmets and buttons, brigades such as Woodvale, Redesdale, Raywood, Elmore, Mandurang and Huntly came together with local brigades such as Golden Square, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk and Bendigo, marched from View Street through the centre of Bendigo, much to the delight of thousands of people lining the streets to watch them and other easter parade floats and marchers.

"It's great to see so many members come out and support us tonight," said Hayden Allen, Captain of the Eaglehawk Fire Brigade. "I was ecstatic with the amount of members that said they would march tonight which was fantastic".
