Members from Cann Valley Fire Brigade, Community Safety team member Allan Cracknell and Operations Officer Aaron Worcester from District 11 attended an evening with the Cann River community to celebrate and thank their local volunteers.

Of the 120 that attending this event were Ambulance Victoria, SES, Police, East Gippsland Shire and other local organisations. The local CFA tanker was buffed and polished and it entertained the children with some hose squirting activities.
Many of the local CFA members attended and were recognised for their value and commitment to the safety of the Cann River community. The brigade and district teams are now planning to attend the P12 college in Cann River next month to provide teachers and students with fire safety education and assist with their emergency evacuation drill.
