District 14 Rostered Duty Officer and Operations Officer Rick Flood said firefighters were called to the fire at 7.17pm and arrived to find the home fully alight.

The blaze had also spread to a neighbouring property and was threatening a third home.

Occupants of the affected homes had evacuated their homes and could be immediately be accounted for, allowing firefighters to focus on controlling the fire and minimising damage to the neighbouring property.

Four pumpers attended the incident, including two from MFB.

Victoria Police is investigating the cause of the fire and fire investigators are attending the scene today.
