CFA at Hamilton Sheepvention

Next Monday and Tuesday (5 and 6 August), the CFA Southern Grampians Catchment teams and Community Development will host a stand at the major agricultural event, Hamilton Sheepvention, supported by local volunteers and staff.

Some of the new display resources promoting ‘Partnerships – Sharing Responsibility’ will be showcased. These resources are available to brigades for use in their own displays to encourage communities to prepare their properties for the upcoming fire season.

While attending CFA's stand, people will have the opportunity to win a useful prize pack of gardening tools to help clean up their properties during spring and reduce their risk of damage in the event of a bushfire.

The free competition is easy to enter by writing down two tasks which can be completed to reduce the fire risk around the home. An interactive cottage display will prompt entrants with several examples of hazards.

If you are attending Sheepvention, held at the Hamilton Showgrounds, drop in at sites 9/10 in the Community Hub marquee and introduce yourself.
