CFA responding to dog stuck in a mine shaft in Maiden Gully

CFA was notified to reports of a dog stuck down a mine shaft on Collins Street in Maiden Gully at 9.55am today, 8 September.

 

Four CFA vehicles and crews responded, including specialist rescue crew Oscar1 and FRV crews.

Crews arrived on scene and located a dog stuck 4.5 metres down a mine shaft.

The incident was declared under control at 11.04am, with crews remaining on scene to extricate the dog safely.

Crews commenced rescue at around 11.05am and the dog was brought to safety at 11.48am.
