Challenge applications extended

Applications for the Challenge 2018 program have been extended to Friday, 3 November.

Challenge

Brigades are encouraged to nominate members for this exceptional training opportunity in both the under-18 and adult categories.

The Challenge program will be conducted over 12 days from Saturday, 13 January to Wednesday, 24 January 2018. The program includes an initial three day classroom based personal development program followed by seven days in the Victorian bush.

The initial three day classroom based personal development program will equip participants with personal skills that will enable them to understand communication preferences, personal emotions and reactions in people, and acceptance of individual differences within their teams.

By setting goals, understanding stress reactions and setting team values this program enables participants to bond as a team and operate in a safe environment to maximise their learning potential and make the most of their time on the Challenge program.

Participants then spend seven days in the Victorian bush undertaking team building and adventure based activities including bushwalking, white water rafting, abseiling, caving, orienteering, rock climbing and canoeing.

Information on the Challenge Program including the application form can be found on CFA websites or by going to Brigades Online: Training > Course Nominations > Challenge.
