Clean Up Notices issued for remaining RTCs

Earlier this month, CFA was issued with Clean Up Notices from the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) for the remaining regional training campuses - Bangholme, West Sale, Wangaratta, Huntly, and Longerenong.

We are continuing to work closely with the EPA, local authorities and community members to ensure we meet the requirements under these notices, as well as the notice issued for the Penshurst training campus.

Once again, our training campuses remain safe for all CFA members and visitors. Clean Up Notices are issued regularly by the EPA, and this program of work will ensure our training campuses and practices meet environmental standards in the future.

CFA is currently working with independent environmental consultants to complete environmental sampling of surface waters, soils and groundwater at all our campuses and across neighbouring properties. We are also routinely reporting to the EPA and local authorities (such as water corporations and local councils) on progress of our environmental works under the Clean Up Notices.

A new email subscription service has been established for our regional training campuses to provide members with regular updates on the environmental works, as well as any relevant safety information. Signing up only takes a minute, and the service is designed to make sure our members receive relevant and timely email updates on these activities.

This new service will be particularly beneficial for PAD supervisors and training staff who will be directly involved in the environmental management plans and activities in the future. The subscription service updates will also be posted under the new Training Campus Environmental Management & Safety section of the CFA website.

In relation to the former Fiskville Training College, important information and updates on the decommissioning process are now also available on the website under Fiskville Decommissioning & Remediation. If you have any queries or require further information, please contact the Fiskville Transition Program directly via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. All members are encouraged to subscribe to the subscription service and regularly check the new sections on the CFA website to monitor our progress in these two key priority areas for CFA.
