Multi Agency display a hit

The Knox Fire Brigades Group hosted a Multi-Agency Specialist Appliance Day (MASAD14) last Sunday after the outstanding success of their previous events in 2010 and 2012.

The eight brigades who make up Knox Group within CFA are Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Montrose, Rowville, Scoresby, The Basin and Upper Ferntree Gully.

Knox Deputy Group Officer Ian Atherton said the aim of the display was to gather together a collection of specialist multi-agency appliances and specialist equipment which may support incidents involving all services both within and outside our Group boundaries and across the state generally.

The event provided a unique opportunity for Emergency Services personnel, their families and interested parties to familiarise themselves with the myriad of resources we have available to us in the emergency services field.

The aim was to have a more informed and united emergency services community with the opportunity for networking across all agencies on the day. The event took the form of a show and tell with regular demonstrations being carried out and commenced at 9:00am and concluded at 1:00pm at the CFA Knoxfield Running Track in Bunjil Way.
