This is a reminder for CFA members that the 2021 Victoria Police and Emergency Services Games are going ahead from 17 March to 21 March in Geelong.
After considerable planning and preparation, the 2021 Victoria Police and Emergency Services Games is on track to provide CFA members the opportunity to compete in their chosen sport. There have been more than 1,500 registrations already and some sports closed.
The Games website is open for registration. It's the 40th anniversary of the Games and the Games will be mostly held in the Geelong area in a condensed six-day period. All sports will be offered as normal under COVID-safe plans.
All CFA registered members over the age of 18 years are eligible to take part in these Games. The Games give you as an individual or your brigade team the opportunity to compete in a friendly and healthy sport of your choice. The Games are open to all ages and abilities, from people who regularly participate in sport, to those who just want to have a go. The games have something for everyone.
The games are significant because of the diverse range of competitors drawn from the 23 agencies. As it's the 40th anniversary, all competitors will receive a special badge and back pack.
Don't miss out on a great opportunity to represent CFA and your brigade and meet other emergency workers. Registration for most sports will be open until one week before the Games.
If you have any enquiries, head to the Games website or contact the CFA Rep Brian Neal on 0409 197 913.
The CFASRA (Country Fire Authority Sports Recreation Association) is offering first-time competitors a CFA white sports polo. Please forward your details, sport, address for postage and size to sra@cfa.vic.gov.au
