Inspector-General for Emergency Management Victoria and Chair of the Emergency Services Foundation Tony Pearce has walked 1,000 kilometres of his 1,440-kilometre trek.

Tony is taking one step at a time to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Emergency Services Foundation – enabling them to introduce innovative ways to help prevent serious mental injury.

On his trek Tony is traveling through many areas affected by Victoria’s 2019–20 Black Summer bushfires, acknowledging the mental health impacts that those fires had, and continue to have, on emergency personnel and community members alike.

Visiting many CFA stations along the way, Tony has been supported by emergency services personnel from across the entire sector as he makes his journey.
