Woolworths Front End Manager Felicity Noad presents the donation to Captain Ian Hamley
Woolworths Portland has a donation fund which gives a sum of money each month to a volunteer organisation.
The funds are raised through customer donations collected throughout the month, and the recipient organisation is chosen by Woolworths management.
This month Assistant Front End Manager Felicity Noad presented a donation of $210 to Portland Fire Brigade Captain Ian Hamley and 1st Lieutenant Adam Hermelin.
"This donation from Woolworths is a significant moment for any volunteer organisation. It not only provides essential financial support but also highlights the community’s collective effort in contributing to a worthy cause," Ian said. "The funds reflect the generosity and commitment of both Woolworths and its patrons.
"We are grateful for this money which will make a tangible difference. We have put the money towards buying 60 torches.
"This gesture of support builds a stronger bond between Portland Fire Brigade and the community, encouraging continued collaboration and goodwill."
