The Minister for Western Victoria Region the Honourable David O’Brien has officially opened Bochara’s community facility provided with the support of CFA and the Victorian Government through the previous Department of Community Planning & Development.
This building, which cost $160,000, includes an air conditioned room complete with disabled toilet and cooking facilities. The facility now provides the Wannon community a permanent place to hold their meetings and community events.
Bochara Brigade Captain Nick Falkenberg said, “This is an excellent facility and helps to bring the community together. It now allows us to conduct training locally. It’s far better for us to have meetings in winter now.”
