New brigade profile series launches

Member News image

A new profile series promotes CFA brigades and the great work they do in their communities.

Brigades of CFA provides the opportunity for CFA to share stories about our brigades, their history as well as the interesting and varied tasks and activities our members undertake.

Each week we will share a story from a different brigade across the state through a feature article, video, photo collection or another format. The stories will be featured on the CFA website as well as Members Online to allow both members and the community to learn more about our brigades.

Our first profile about Drouin West Fire Brigade is now available. In this profile, we hear from Junior Leader Jodie Wills and her son Junior Member Riley about the brigade's Junior Volunteer Development program.

Both Jodie and Riley reflect on what they have learnt throughout their time in the program and how Junior programs benefit not only the brigade, but CFA as a whole.

Future profiles will be shared about St Arnaud, Koondrook, Doreen, Ballarat, Tatura, Ballan, Shepparton and Upper Beaconsfield brigades.

If your brigade would like to be featured in Brigades of CFA, there’s still time to get involved. If you think you have an interesting story to tell, please submit your story idea via our online submission form.

A member of CFA’s Communications team will then be in touch to share your story. Being involved in the series is voluntary.
