Logo and endorsement

CFA recognises that its brand and logo is easily identifiable, with strong community and public recognition. We are committed to ensuring our brand and representative logos maintain integrity which ensures that CFA will remain a respected and trusted organisation.

CFA and our brigades are regularly contacted by organisations and businesses who wish to support their local communities and fire service while also benefitting from CFA’s strong brand recognition, resonance and reputation.

It is highly unlikely CFA’s logo will appear anywhere except next to other emergency service logos or alongside the Victorian Government logo. While exemptions may be considered they are often in limited circumstances.

CFA does not engage in endorsement of any kind. This includes testimonials and use of our logo and applies to individuals and groups representing CFA.

Not engaging in endorsement ensures that:

  1. CFA, as a public sector agency, does not provide support for one participant in the marketplace over and above other participants.
  2. CFA’s reputation will be guarded with the utmost diligence, which means protecting it from association with organisations, groups, individuals, products, services or activities over which we have little or no control.
  3. CFA’s resources will be maintained and available for core business rather than be directed towards requests that involve endorsement

CFA and local brigades may accept funds raised by external organisations or groups known as third party fundraisers and rules around brand and logo usage to promote these fundraisers apply.

Similarly, local brigades cannot commit to branding or endorsement conditions linked to the receipt or acknowledgement of donations or grants.

The Communications and Stakeholder Relations team provides advice and guidance on endorsements and use of CFA’s logo. If you have any queries, contact cfacommunications@cfa.vic.gov.au.
