On Sunday 12 February, hundreds of people assembled in Cockatoo to mark the 40th anniversary of Ash Wednesday, one of the most significant bushfire events in Australian history.
16 February 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of Ash Wednesday.
CFA members, Members of Parliament, emergency services sector partners, families and local community members attended the service at the Ash Wednesday Bushfire Education Centre in Cockatoo.
