On Sunday evening, CFA crews responded to reports of a fire in Duiker Court, Langwarrin.

Upon arrival, crews found a shed and workshop on fire.

The shed contained a prime mover, forklift and bottled gas as well as oxy/acetylene bottles which provided some difficult conditions for crews on scene.

Eighteen vehicles were on scene including specialist breathing apparatus, rehab units and gas support. The shed fire was attacked from the side and the front of the shed.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and SES were also on scene.

While the fire was believed to have started from a neighbouring property, this is a timely reminder that fire can spread quickly and storing hazardous items safely is important.
